Set adjacent to the town, the airport is served by Air Botswana with several weekly flights to Johannesburg and Gaborone. Journey time to the city, taking into account heavy traffic, varies between 20 and 45 minutes. Car rental can be arranged with Avis, Budget or Imperial, and onward transportation to Gaborone can be done by taxi or hotel shuttle as there are no public buses serving the complex. Sir Seretse Khama International Airport’s single terminal is low-rise, modern and well-equipped, offering a bureau de change, a bank, restaurant and bar, duty-free shops, car parking, forgotten-luggage office and information desk. Regular domestic flights include those to Maun, Kasane and Francistown. The airport is a hub for Air Botswana, and South African Airways, and its subsidiary SA Express and Kenya Airways are active here. International flights are limited to South Africa, Kenya and Zambia, serving routes to Johannesburg, Nairobi and Lusaka. Botswana’s international air arrivals hub is Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, located nine miles to the north of the capital and dealing with the majority of visitors to the country.
